How to treat TMJ pain?

To find relief from TMJ, it is important to relax the jaw as much as possible. Avoiding hard foods and opting for softer options can reduce the strain on the jaw while chewing. Additionally, avoiding habits like gum chewing that involve unnecessary jaw movement can help. These simple lifestyle changes can be tried before seeking medical treatment.

If TMJ persists and causes significant discomfort and pain, it is advisable to seek medical advice. While natural alternatives are preferred by many, if they do not provide relief, there are medical solutions available, including muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatory drugs, and surgery. It is always recommended to explore alternative methods first before considering surgery, as natural relief may be achievable without the need for invasive procedures.
